Appointments:

THE REVD VALERIE HOWES Assistant Curate, Droxford and Meonstoke with Corhampton cum Exton (N.S.M.) to be licensed as House for Duty Priest at St. Philips Cosham on the 3^rd February 2008.

THE REVD MALCOLM WILLIAMS Assistant Curate at the Abbey Church of St Mary & St Melor, Amesbury, to be licensed as Priest in charge of Brighstone, Brook with Mottistone, Shorwell and Chale, date to be announced.

THE RT REVD DR PETER SELBY formerly Bishop of Worcester from 1997 to 2007 has been appointed as Honorary Asst Bishop (Diocese of Portsmouth).

THE REVD PHIL HISCOCK  has been appointed Associate Priest for the Parish of Alverstoke and also Lay Trainer for the Deanery of Gosport.  He will be licensed on 16^th March in St. Mary’s church at 10am.

THE REVD JOHN FRANKS  has been appointed for a period of six months to the Gosport Deanery, licensed to the Rural Dean.

Lay Canon Emeritus

MRS CHRISTINE GREAVES has accepted the Bishop’s offer to become a Lay Canon Emeritus.

Deaths:

THE REVD STUART CARNE-ROSS passed away on 21.11.2007.  His ministry was in Dulwich and then Herefordshire, he was Vicar of Hambledon, and Chaplain to HM Prison at Kingston, Portsmouth, attached to St. Mary’s Portsea.

MR ROY WESTMORE, OBE, passed away on 11.12.2007.  Mr Westmore was a Former Lay Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral for 30 years, and also Churchwarden for 60 years. He was also a member of Diocesan and Deanery Synods.
