NO LIMITS - help & support for volunteer youth leaders
Starting in autumn 2008 and running into the spring of 2009, a new locally delivered youth leader support is available for deaneries, parishes and clusters of churches in the Diocese of Portsmouth.
We’ll provide the input and support, decent cake and coffee, a selection of resources and a healthy dose of humour. The NO LIMITS session is only two hours long and will cover the following areas:
- What is youth work?
- Different ways of working with young people.
- How do I meet the needs of young people?
- What skills do I need? What are the basics?
- What resources are there?
- How do we put a programme together?
- A surgery for any questions.
All of that in 2 hours – not bad! What’s more NO LIMITS is FREE – breaking away from previous diocesan youth training which was at a cost to individuals and churches. We simply come to you and do the stuff. Our aim is to enhance the work you do with young people on your turf. SIMPLE!

Support & input by arrangement
As part of our commitment to get the right support, resources and input for youth ministry into your parish we are able to arrange training for your team in your local area. After an initial conversation, to talk through your needs and find a date, you can then choose from a range of modules which normally last 2 hours each. There is no cost to the parish at all. All you have to do is provide the room and refreshments!
