The Pompey Chimes

The Pompey Chimes is our diocese's prime method of communication. It is a 16-page full colour newspaper distributed to 9,000 readers across all 142 parishes in the diocese. It contains news, features, diary dates and information. It should reach parish churches by the last Sunday of the preceding month (ie. February edition reaches churches on January 27).

It is edited by the diocesan communications adviser, Neil Pugmire, who can be contacted here. Deadlines for the 2008 editions are as follows:

There is no separate January edition
FEBRUARY EDITION: Monday 7 January
MARCH EDITION: Monday 4 February
APRIL EDITION: Monday 10 March
MAY EDITION: Monday 7 April
JUNE EDITION: Monday 5 May
JULY EDITION: Monday 9 June
There is no separate August edition
SEPTEMBER EDITION: Mon 11 August
OCTOBER EDITION: Mon 8 September
NOVEMBER EDITION: Mon 6 October
DECEMBER/JANUARY EDITION: Mon 10 November
