The Church at the heart of the community
Saint John's is the Parish Church of Forton in Gosport. You'll find the Church on Forton Road near the Crossways, just opposite Madeline's pub (now a Tesco Express!) and near the Criterion bingo hall.
We are in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England, so our worship is rich in colour, movement and of course "bells and smells." But if you think that makes us stuffy or conservative, think again! We aim to be a Church open to everyone, at the heart of our local community. So, whoever you are - whatever your age, ability, background, sexuality or outlook on life - you are welcome here.

Parish Mass
Come and join us for our main act of worship on a Sunday morning - a sung Mass with hymns, sermon and incense. Children of all ages (and noise levels!) are welcome - they are free to wander about, explore and join in as they please.
Dogs welcome too.

Open Church
The Church is open (the clue's in the title!) for everyone. Come and pray, light a candle, explore, be still, chat, eat, drink coffee or do whatever you want to do.
