Listening for God: an emerging spirituality of listening

Saturday 14 July 2018 from 10am - 1pm (coffee from 9.30am)
At St Thomas’s Cathedral, St Thomas’s Street, Old Portsmouth PO1 2HA
with Tim Watson

Followers of Jesus are called to be people who listen: people who listen to scripture, people who listen to the Holy Spirit, people who listen to each other’s needs.

But what if there was more to listening? What if listening could shape how we understand and interact with our neighbourhoods and communities? What if listening might shape our own spiritual lives and the lives of our churches? What if listening might open up before us new avenues of serenity and peace?

On this day we will delve into the Bible and some contemporary thought on the idea of listening. We will also be practising the art of listening!
