Could your church benefit from some help with using social media?

Are you confused by social media? Would you like to see your church make better use of social media, to engage with your parish, community and local organisations? How about some ideas for how to use Facebook, or Instagram Stories?

We will be joined by members of the national CofE digital team, who’ll be leading training on a wide variety of social media-related topics, including:

  • Facebook and Instagram,
  • Writing for social media,
  • Safeguarding and dealing with negativity,
  • a Church Near You,
  • Using Stories,
  • and more.

There’ll also be ‘surgery’ session where you can get your own questions answered and technical issues solved (hopefully!). Our own Comms team will also be on hand to provide ideas and opportunities for ongoing support and training.

Who is it for?

The day is aimed at anyone who is interested in, or looks after, the social media for their Church of England church.

This could be someone who uses social media personally but wants to understand how to use a church’s facebook page or Instagram profile. Or, they could be someone with experience of Facebook pages or Instagram, who is looking for ideas and inspiration, and wants to start using analytics and advertising.

The workshop is free. You will need to bring your own lunch, but refreshments will be provided.
