This engaging and interactive day will encourage churches to make the best use of music to enhance their worship, especially rural churches with few resources. There will be accessible musical examples although no musical expertise is needed. Pioneer and author of Spring Music in Worship, Helen has carefully listened to those in local churches, responding to their frequently asked questions and heartfelt challenges and requests with wisdom and a wealth of experience of across the full spectrum of tradition and style. Helen Bent is a priest, musician and respected author with a wealth of experience in both parish ministry and the training of worship leaders and musicians across the country. For 10 years, she was Bishop’s Adviser in Music and Worship in the Sheffield Diocese. In 2015, she was appointed by the RSCM and Praxis to pioneer and develop ministerial training. She is also licensed as an Associate Priest in Peterborough Diocese and regularly leads worship in the Walgrave Benefice, a group of four churches in rural Northamptonshire.
