Great Big Green Week, Havant

The Great Big Green Week is a week of exciting activities to show how people are helping to fight climate change and protect the environment. Events around our diocese will include:
- Messy Church Goes Wild! Outdoor church for all the family at St Wilfrid’s Church, Cowplain, on Thursday 8th June. Meet God outdoors, love the natural world, experience a sense of awe and wonder there and be eco-aware in all we do for the good of the planet.
- a fair at St Alban’s primary school on Saturday 10th June, with woodland and countryside walks, litter picks, craft and recycling sessions, bug hunts, art displays and loads of fun activities for kids. You can even watch movies and write Letters to Tomorrow!
- a 2-hour litter pick at Hart Plain Church on Saturday 10th June, followed by refreshments at a Fairtrade pop-up café.
- ‘Down With Plastic’, an exhibition of paintings and crafts, featuring local children’s artwork, on Saturday 17th June at St Wilfrid’s Church, Cowplain. Their Fairtrade café will be serving tea, coffee and delicious cakes.
There are plenty of resources and ideas available on the Great Big Green Week website and the Havant Climate Alliance website to help everyone join in the fun!
