Preaching in Lectionary Year B: The Year of Mark
- Wednesday 8th and 15th November

Two Zoom seminars will take place in November to reflect on the major theological themes in Mark’s Gospel to prepare clergy, Readers, Lay Preachers and Lay Worship Leaders for the new lectionary year Advent 2023 to advent 2024. We will think about the historical situation that led to the creation of Mark’s Gospel around 69 AD, the literary modes that formed the written text, and major themes such as eschatology, the cross, and the battle between good and evil. Please ensure that you have a Bible accessible either in NRSV or NIV translation.
