Part-time, 16 hours per week (£10.50ph)
An exciting opportunity within the parish churches of Botley, Curdridge and Durley. Based at All Saints’ Church in the village of Botley, the Church Administrator’s role is to supervise and facilitate the day-to-day administrative operations of all 3 churches and to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community. Working, often alone, but in close co-operation with the vicar and other church members, your role will be very diverse and will require professionalism, discretion and sound decision making.
All Saints’ Church is in the heart of Botley and is a focal point for the community. All 3 churches within the parish have vibrant and welcoming congregations and excellent links to their villages and schools. This position is a brilliant opening for a talented Administrator seeking a wide ranging, interesting and diverse role, with the opportunity to be an active and valued part of the church and wider community.
Candidates need not be from any specific faith background and no preference will be given in this regard. However the successful candidate should be sympathetic to Christian values and supportive of the mission of the Church of England.
Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Word) are essential.
This is a 16-hour-a-week post, working in the office on weekday mornings from 9:30am to 12pm, with a further 3.5 hours “catch up time”. It also involves taking the minutes at a 2-hour evening meeting on the first Tuesday of every month; the office hours will be adjusted to make up for this.
Rate of pay: £10.50 per hour. Benefits include 6 weeks holiday per annum plus contributory pension scheme.
