Evangelisation of the Nation • Revitalisation of the Church • Transformation of Society

Do you want to play your part in the vision of the Parish of Haven Church Gosport as our new Pioneer Minister?

    • This post is open to lay and ordained applicants.

Building on a good foundation of ministry our new Pioneer Minister will assist with the development and implementation of the strategy for youth and young adults as part of our vision.

As our new Pioneer Minister you will reach, serve and disciple those aged 16-25 in Gosport, primarily at St John’s Church. You will support creative ministry across the parish and further the development of fresh expressions of church, social media and leading worship.

At Haven Church there is already an exciting profile of work to build upon and we want to recruit a dynamic, creative and collaborative leader who will work in partnership with the Priest-in-Charge, Team Vicar and staff team and already existing partners to help us reach the 99% of Gosport who have no meaningful contact with the church so that they have the opportunity to explore faith.

See what we do at havenchurch.uk and find out more about this post with the attached Job Description, above.

    • Deadline for applications is Friday 25th October
    • Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th November.

For further information please contact Archdeacon Kathryn Percival or Priest-in-Charge Rev Ray Driscoll, or visit the Haven Church website.

    • This post is open to lay or ordained applicants.
    • Please apply for this post as a lay person here and as an ordained person here.

The Diocese of Portsmouth is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic/Global Majority Heritage, women and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation. The appointment will of course be based on merit alone. Enhanced DBS will be required.
