The Church of the Good Shepherd, Crookhorn, is a thriving and friendly charismatic Anglican church passionate about serving its community. We are serious about our commitment to young people and offer well established youth and children’s ministries with the scope to grow.

We are wanting to build positive relationships with children and young people that bring about development of faith and transformation of character.

    Role

We are seeking a fun, reliable person with good team skills to become our Children & Youth Co-ordinator.

The office holder will think creatively about how we engage with youth and children in our parish, identifying and developing mission opportunities. Provide leadership, inspiration and support for the volunteers who minister in the toddlers, children’s and youth groups at CoGS and take an active role in providing ministry in the groups as and when required. The Children and Youth Co-ordinator is a key member of the staff team; s/he will liaise with clergy, parish administrator and wardens and attend staff meetings and PCC meetings as required.

    Environment

CoGs runs toddler groups, Kids and Youth groups and a community café all of which provide a vital and dynamic link with many people from the community. Our ministries place children and young people at the centre of Church life both midweek and on Sunday Mornings.

If you are enthusiastic, dedicated, and have a genuine interest in empowering young people, and developing your own skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.
