    Primary purpose

    The Archdeacon of Portsdown seeks to appoint a personable and efficient colleague with an enquiring mind, a proactive approach, good relational skills, and proven administrative competence.

    General responsibilities

    • To provide appropriate support as requested by the Archdeacon of Portsdown in the exercise of their duties
    • To provide oversight to ensure the effective day to day running of the Archdeacon’s office, ensuring that all key functions of the office are delivered to the highest possible standard
    • To ensure that all contact with the Archdeacon’s office is dealt with in a timely, courteous and efficient manner
    • To identify possible areas for development and change
    • To contribute to the sustaining and development of a positive team and a learning culture
    • To act as a sounding board for the Archdeacon

    Terms

    • Working hours: to be confirmed, minimum of 3-4 days per week (21-30 hours).
    • Salary: £26.5k-£29k FTE
    • Closing date: 5pm, July 25th, 2025
