Christian Aid 80th anniversary service

Join us as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of Christian Aid, which is a global movement of people, churches and charities that seek to combat poverty around the world. Our cathedral is hosting a special, regional Christian Aid service. The preacher is John Plant, national church relationship lead for the charity.
Christian Aid Week this year takes place between May 11-18, and our cathedral will also be hosting other fundraising events, including a Big Breakfast at the cathedral and other sponsored events.
As Christian Aid Week begins, churches are also encouraged to:
- Pray for farmers facing hunger and hardship, that they can access the resources they need to protect their families, feed their communities and tackle the climate crisis.
- Use our worship resources, including Welsh-language materials, to prepare for your church service and collection.
- Gather as a church to celebrate and reflect on how we can bring hope and change together.
