Diocese of Portsmouth

Isle of Wight

All age worship has all ages present embodying the truth that the whole church is the body of Christ. However, people often ask what to do with the young ones - nobody ever debates about
whether adults should be "in" worship.
Howard Vanderwell defines intergenerational worship as "worship in which people of every age are understood to be equally important. Each and all are the church of now”.
As part of Live-Pray-Serve within our diocese you are invited to a challenging
and practical day exploring what it means and how we might be able to
create spaces where all generations can gather in worship. Read more

  • Growing Faith

Our new discipleship course begins on Wednesday 9th January 2019

The course has been rewritten and simplified: it is now a 12-session course, and unlike Living Faith, no homework is required, just turn up.

If you have done a basic introductory course like Alpha and are looking to learn a little more, this course is for you. Some of the areas covered will be New Testament, Old Testament, Anglicanism today, faith and prayer, sacraments, ethics, who Jesus is and what he does.
