Newtown Church fête

The annual Newtown Church fête takes place in the beautiful setting of Meonwood gardens, to be opened this year by the Venerable Kathryn Percival, Archdeacon of the Meon.
- Saturday 24th May
- 2pm to 5pm
- Meonwood, Wickham
The fête is one of the earliest and most anticipated fêtes in the Meon Valley summer calendar, with stalls, sideshows and activities for all ages and interests. Music is provided by the Royal British Legion Brass Band, Soberton Strummers and Soul band, and a group of students from Barton Peveril. Newtown Soberton Infant School will be dancing and there is a fantastic dog agility display.
Who can resist a burger and a glass of Pimms, or maybe a cup of tea and home made cake, before chancing your luck on the tombola or hook a duck and then browsing the White Elephant stall or buying a book to read when you get home! The gardening and home produce stalls are always popular as is the classic car display – and so much more.
A quintessentially English afternoon out, which provides valuable funds for the beautiful Holy Trinity church and enables the congregation to support other parish activities. For more detail, please visit the Newtown Church Fête facebook page.
