Cosy homes for a greener future: Winter workshop on home energy efficiency

Have you been wondering how to make your home fit for the future?

  • Saturday 6th December
  • 11am to 1pm
  • The Old Pay Office, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth

Join us at our winter workshop to hear directly from local residents leading the way to a greener, cosier future. They’ll share honest insights, lessons learned, and the benefits they’ve experienced from the energy efficiency improvements they’ve made at home.

We'll also hear from retrofit specialists who’ll share practical insight and guidance about the wide range of options available – from simple, low-cost measures to a whole-house retrofit approach – including where to find accredited installers, and how home energy improvements can help you reduce energy bills, increase comfort, and cut carbon emissions.

Come along to connect, ask questions, and find out what support is available locally to help you take the next step for your home. Festive treats and warm drinks will be provided, and attendees are welcome to arrive early or stay late to chat or explore the venue.

The workshop will take place in the Sustainable Conservation Trust’s Heritage Skills Craft Training Workshop, a new hub for hands-on learning, green skills and creative heritage craft. The workshop can be found inside The Old Pay Office on College Road, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth PO1 3LJ. You can find instructions on how to find The Old Pay Office here.

The event is free to attend, but we do have a 40-person limit – so please reserve your place to let us know you’re coming.
