Living Faith: The New Testament
- Starts Friday 17th April
- 7:30pm each session
- Online
This module asks some deep questions about the New Testament. Why was it written? How are we supposed to read it today? Is it all true? How do we distil theological principles from a text written over 2000 years ago, separating out what’s timeless from what’s culturally specific? These types of question need careful consideration, and the answers can change our faith outlook.
The New Testament is the richest and deepest of texts. We could spend a lifetime exploring its mysteries, and still feel we had only scratched the surface. This ten-week course adopts an approach based on depth, going into far greater detail in some books whilst almost ignoring others. It isn’t an everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know type of course. Instead, it aims to provide some of the tools needed for us to find out what we want to know – and perhaps to spend a lifetime finding out, delving ever-deeper.
