Prison Chaplaincy at HMP
Isle of Wight
There is one prison site in our Diocese, HMP Isle of Wight with two prisons at Albany and Parkhurst.
Chaplains work as part of ecumenical teams with Roman Catholic and Free Church Ministers and chaplains of other faiths. The chaplains offer regular Sunday services, pastoral care, Bible studies and help with bereavement issues. Every Sunday there is a Eucharistic service in both chapels, on the Parkhurst site and on the Albany site, led by one of the two Anglican chaplains on site.
