Older age brings many challenges but in those challenges are opportunities to meet with God and know we are valued and treasured in our later years. We are committed to supporting churches and their communities in discovering how they can play their part in supporting older people alongside the many services available. Valuing and treasuring Older People

Our diocesan vision is to be “a rejuvenating community of Jesus-centred, Kingdom-seeking disciples”. This vision inspires us to nurture faith across all generations, ensuring that every age group has a place in the life of the Church – where older members are valued and treasured and younger generations are empowered to live and lead as disciples of Jesus today.

Our mission for older people across our Diocese is:

• to see people flourish in their faith into old age;
• to reach those older in age who do not yet know Jesus, with the gospel

We do this through:

• Anna Chaplaincy
• Offering opportunities and resources for discipleship in older age
• Offering opportunities for those older in age and those living with dementia and their carers to worship
• Equipping churches with resources to help them reach older people who do not yet know the good news of Jesus
