People’s Emergency Briefing screening
What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?
Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together 9 leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:
- 🌧️ Extreme weather
- 🍞 Food security
- 🏥 Health
- 💷 Cost of living
The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK. After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally. We will be inviting local councillors and are optimistic that some will join us for this important discussion about our future.
- Friday 15th May
- 7pm to 9pm
- Church of the Resurrection, Drayton
Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome (suitable for ages 16 and above).
The film is also being screened in Hambledon on April 17th, Bembridge on April 18th, Holy Trinity Church, Fareham, on May 2nd, Titchfield on May 5th, and Portsmouth Cathedral on May 30th.
