Eco Church
Eco Church is a scheme run by A Rocha UK, a Christian charity working to protect and restore the natural world. It gives churches of all shapes, sizes, and denominations a practical framework for living out their faith through care for God’s earth.

The more your church does across those five areas, the more points you earn – and points unlock Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. Most churches reach Bronze within four to six months of getting started.
The Eco Church survey
The free online survey is the heart of the scheme. It takes about 20 minutes to complete, and you can save your responses and return to them at any time as your church takes new actions.
The survey will help your church express care for God’s world in every aspect of its common life – from what you preach and teach, to how you manage your buildings, care for your land, engage with your community, and encourage sustainable choices in personal lifestyle.
Once your survey indicates you have enough points for an award, you can submit your application. At Bronze and Silver level, your church leader will need to sign off the application. A Gold award involves a visit from an Eco Church assessor.
