Reading Scripture Together: Moses & the Myth of the Solitary Leader course

The Jewish tradition refers to Moses as “Moshe Rabbenu” (Moses, our Teacher), hailing him to be the greatest prophet of all time and he is referenced prominently in the New Testament as well as a leader, prophet, teacher, and ancestor of the faith. There is no question he demonstrates extraordinary leadership skills, exemplary for both traditions. However, no leader achieves success on their own.

Moses was surrounded by other significant characters who shaped and supported him on his leadership journey. We will explore five of his central relationships: his mother(s), his sister, his brother, his wife and his mentor. We will see how they formed the leadership team that supported Moses to be the leader that he was
