Evensong with the installation of Canons and handing over of cheques from Bishop’s Lent Appeal.

The following will become Honorary Canons:

  • Rev Jonathan Jeffery, Vicar, Leigh Park and Warren Park
  • Rev Chris Bradish, Team Rector Newport and Carisbrooke with Gatcombe and area dean of the Isle of Wight
  • Rev Penny Thatcher, Vicar of Titchfield
  • Rev Clare Welham, Rector of St Mary’s, Liss

And the following will become a Lay Canon:

  • David Price, Organist and Master of the Choristers, Portsmouth Cathedral

The service will also be followed by the presentation of cheques to the recipients of the Bishop’s Lent Appeal (Link to the Lent Appeal page), who are: Tearfund, USPG and Vista, based at Harbour Church.
