Ordinations 2022

Our bishop will ordain the following people as deacons and priests in our cathedral on Saturday 2nd July. Those ordained deacon will be given the title ‘the Reverend’, be able to wear a dog collar and lead services as an assistant curate in their parish. Those ordained priest will additionally be able to lead Communion services.

Deacons (11am, July 2):

  • Jill Kingston (Bedhampton)
  • Liz Quinn (St George, Waterlooville)
  • Amanda Sim (to serve at Catherington and Clanfield)
  • Beth Yeandle (Crofton parish)

Priests (4pm, July 2):

  • the Rev Derek Johnston (serving at St Wilfrid’s, Cowplain)
  • the Rev Kate Lloyd Jones (Greatham, Empshott and Hawkley with Priors Dean)
  • the Rev Anthony Lawrence (Ventnor, Isle of Wight)
  • the Rev Katherine Message (Harbour Church, Portsmouth)
