Welcome to St John's Church, Newport, Isle of Wight.

St John's is open for private prayer on Wednesday mornings from 9.30am to 11.30am every week. Please follow the instructions in the church for handwashing and social distancing during your visit.

From August there will be a service of Morning Prayer starting at 11am every Wednesday.

We hope to start holding Sunday services in September and a decision will be taken nearer the time.

Meanwhile we will be continuing to post Acts of Worship for Sunday on our website www.stjohnsnewport.org, our Churchnearyou page, and on our Facebook page ,https://www.facebook.com/StJohnsChurchNewportIsleOfWight/

St John's has an open evangelical tradition with worship that varies between traditional and modern styles. We strive to be obedient to the Holy Spirit and all Him to work within us in our worship and life together and in the local community.

    Each Sunday evening we are holding a zoom meeting when we find out how everyone is doing in lockdown and discuss the readings from the morning's service and what they mean to us.

    The church will be open from 9.30a.m. - 11.00a.m. for private prayer. One of the Ministry team will be there. Please read the notices at the entrance before entering and the board inside the church for instructions, this is for everyone’s health and safety.
