CMD: Grandparenting for Faith
Grandparenting for Faith course
What are grandparents for?
Drawing on research, biblical insights and real life experience, this onsite day course is for grandparents, grandparent figures and the churches that support them.
- Tuesday 20th October
- 10am to 4pm
- Sarum College, Salisbury
- When booking, choose the Portsmouth CMD option. 5 spaces available.
Through a mixture of teaching, group work and practical activities, we will explore what God has to say about grandparents and why they are uniquely positioned to help their grandchildren meet and know God – regardless of families’ individual circumstances. Participants will come away with a renewed vision for their role and practical tools to apply in their family, helping their grandchildren meet and know God whatever their circumstances. We will also explore the unique contribution the grandparent generation has in church and how churches can nurture that, to the benefit of all.
Speaker
Becky Sedgwick is part of the team at Parenting for Faith, resourcing parents, carers, grandparents and the churches that surround them to help children and young people meet and know God. She has a degree in theology from Oxford University and has worked as a Children and Families minister in her local church.
