We will be running two sessions for Treasurers – one in the morning, the other in the afternoon – each identical and designed to provide practical guidance and support for those involved in parish financial administration, governance, and stewardship.

Topics will include an overview of the role and key responsibilities of the Parish Treasurer, the importance of effective PCC governance and financial oversight, annual accounts preparation, submission, and reporting requirements, the Parish Giving Scheme and parish contributions, Statistics for Mission returns, and the administration of Parochial Fees. These sessions will highlight the importance of sound financial management and strong governance support.

Whether you are new to your role or looking for a refresher, this training will provide valuable insights, practical guidance, and an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences with others involved in parish finance.

The timings of the sessions, on Monday 16th November, are as follows:

• Session 1: 10am to 12noon
• Session 2: 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Unfortunately, owing to difficulties in locating the hire of a hall or suitable space at short notice to match presenter availability, we have not been able to fix a date for the Isle of Wight during October and November. Treasurers and Incumbents from the Isle of Wight are very welcome to join either of these sessions and we will of course share the presentation slides after the event. We are planning to book another session for the Isle of Wight in 2027.
