    Young people from church youth groups across the Portsmouth area enjoyed four days of fun and finding out more about faith on a summer residential holiday. The teenagers - who get together each month for High Tide youth services - spent four days in a school in Surrey for the 'Gamechangers' residential.     St Matthew’s Church in Bridgemary has thrown open its doors to families during the summer holidays. They’ve been offering free food to those in need, as well as baking classes and children’s activities for families. Read more

  • Ukrainian refugees arrive as part of diocesan scheme

    The first of our Ukrainian guests have started to arrive, as part of our diocesan scheme that linked up those fleeing the conflict with those living in our area. Jane and Paul, from Hill Head, have recently welcome Liza, and have quickly developed bonds. We're still looking for others who can host, as part of our scheme. Read more

  • Church youth groups gather in historic castle grounds

    Young people aged 11-18 from church youth groups from Emsworth to Portsmouth, and from Crookhorn to Stubbington, gathered in the grounds of the historic Portchester Castle for an end-of-term celebration. The event brought together around 100 young people for a celebration that included exciting games, barbecued food and live music. Read more

    Bishop Jonathan dedicated the restored historic organ at St Mary’s Church, Fratton, in a special service. It was part of a week of events to celebrate the restoration of the Victorian organ, which included schools workshops, dance sessions, worship and recitals. Read more

    Year 6 pupils from church schools across the diocese are attending workshops and worship in our cathedral to mark the end of their primary school career.
