St James’ C of E Primary School in in Emsworth has been described as "outstanding" by inspectors looking at its Christian ethos.

The SIAMS inspection covered areas such as how the school met the needs of all learners, the effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as well as the impact of collective worship on the school community. The school was awarded outstanding in each category and overall.

Headteacher Erika Biddlecombe said: "This is a superb accolade for our school. It is a reflection of the hard work and dedication given to our children by all of our team. However special mention needs to be given to our RE leader, Hannah Mitchell, as well as our deputy head, Neil Hall."

Mrs Biddlecombe went on to say that she was delighted that the inspector recognised in her report that "All children are genuinely valued as unique individuals at St. James’. The distinctive nurturing approach of the school allows all pupils to thrive."

Congratulations to St, James’, their team led by Mrs Biddlecombe and the children plus parents.
