Donation will help this year’s Leigh Park panto
A DONATION from a local supermarket will help a Leigh Park church to stage a pantomime this Christmas.
The PCC of St Francis Church have been awarded £150 by the Havant branch of Waitrose towards its 2019 production of Dick Whittington.
The church has recently staged a number of Christmas productions, including a community nativity play that featured camels in 2016, as well as performances of Cinderella in 2017 and Aladdin in 2018.
A healthy return on ticket sales for Aladdin, plus this grant and some other modest funding means that the church can definitely start planning for performances of Dick Whittington. The church is currently looking at a production over the weekend of Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December, and are planning a formal launch for Sunday 30th June.
