Creation Care Champions Network launch
Across our diocese, there are people in our churches who are already passionate about creation care – who are quietly planting wildflower patches in their churchyards, persuading their PCC to switch to a green energy tariff, or bringing environmental themes into Sunday worship. The Creation Care Champions Network is for them.
The Creation Care Champions Network connects people across the diocese who share a commitment to caring for God’s creation in their local church community. It is not a formal role or an additional responsibility – it is simply a way of recognising the passion that is already there, and connecting people with one another and with the support the diocese can offer.
Champions are people who:
- care deeply about creation as a matter of faith, not just environmentalism
- are already taking, or want to take, practical steps in their church community
- are open to sharing what they are doing and learning from others across the diocese
At this launch webinar, find out more about the new Creation Care Champions Network, with input from Bishop Jonathan and some from our diocese who have been engaged in creation care work for the last few years.
- Thursday 12th November
- 1pm to 2pm
- Zoom
The webinar will be recorded, so if you are not able to attend you will be able to catch up at a later date.
The network is open to anyone to join – find out more here.
